Project Name

As a writer and director, Pete Zhao focuses on social issues and realism, exploring the authentic and flawed dimensions of human experience—our pain, hope, fear, shame, struggles, and fallacies.

Through his work, he seeks to promote radical empathy and human connection. His debut short film, Pirates of Los Angeles: Prologue, premiered at the 28th Brooklyn Film Festival in New York and had its California premiere at the 29th LA Shorts International Film Festival in Los Angeles.

He is currently developing the feature-length version of the project.
